The Sunalco Group

Sunalco Alloys.
Where the group began.

Founded in 2005, Sunalco Alloys Pvt. Ltd. is a non-ferrous metal recycling unit and a leading secondary aluminium alloy manufacturer in India, and the foundation on which the entire Sunalco Group is built.

From 6,000 tonnes per annum in 2005 to 120,000 tonnes per annum today, across two plants and eight furnaces at Wada, Palghar, Maharashtra. Every tonne produced is metal given a second life: recycled aluminium takes a fraction of the energy of primary metal, so keeping it in circulation is the most direct contribution the group can make to a genuinely circular supply chain.

Two decades of metallurgical knowledge, furnace control and quality discipline sit behind every billet we extrude at Sunalco Alu Product. Our material expertise did not start with us, it was inherited.

Capability

Inside the plants.

Plant I · Lakhmapur, 2005

Six Skelner furnaces at 16 MT per batch across 11 acres. Volume production of aluminium alloy ingots, 100 km from Nhava Sheva port.

Plant II · Nehroli, 2023

Two rotary and electric furnaces at 5 MT per batch across 15 acres. Built for niche alloys to stringent chemistry — small, closely controlled heats blending primary and secondary grades.

Sorting Technology Before The Melt

Tomra XRT, Steinert XRF and ISS sorters, Taiho colour sorting and heavy media separation — impurities removed upstream so tramp elements never reach the furnace.

Alloy Grades

ADC-12 / AlSi9Cu3 · AC4C · AC4CH · AC2B / AC4B / HS1S · ADC6 · LM6 / LM9 / LM16 / LM25 — plus grades developed to a customer's own specified chemistry.

Verified On Every Heat

Ametek Spectromaxx and Bruker spectrometers, inverted metallurgical microscope, K-mould, porosity meter and reduced pressure test unit. Every heat is verified before casting.

Traceable To Dispatch

Heat number recorded against every batch, laser marked on the ingot and carried on the bundle label through to dispatch. Ingots auto-stacked and strapped.

Products

TWO PRODUCTS.
ONE METALLURGY.

We cast our own billets and extrude them ourselves. The same metallurgy runs from the furnace to the finished section, which means chemistry, temper and traceability are controlled by one team under one roof.

01 · Billets

ALUMINIUM BILLETS.

Billets cast for our own presses and supplied to other extruders. Four diameters, cut to any length you specify, and produced in any alloy grade you require — including grades developed with you, where we work from your application backwards to a chemistry that suits it.

Standard Alloy Grades

Composition in % by weight. Aluminium is the balance. Grades are produced to these published limits; tighter internal windows can be agreed for a specific order.

01

Tailored Chemical Compositions

Billets produced to a chemistry window you specify within these grades, where your process or downstream temper requires it.

02

Custom Lengths & Surface Finishes

Cut lengths and surface condition set to suit your press, your handling and your yield.

03

Specific Mechanical Properties

Where an application is driven by strength or formability rather than grade name, we work to the property targets instead.

02 · Extrusions

EXTRUDED SECTIONS.

Our presses run 7″ and 9″ sections. Billets cast on site move straight to the press, so chemistry, temper and section come from one continuous process rather than three separate suppliers — and a die developed with you stays with us for every repeat order.

Why Sunalco Alu Product

FIVE THINGS WE
HOLD OURSELVES TO.

01

Precision Engineering

Accurate control of chemical and mechanical specifications, verified before dispatch.

02

100% Recycled Aluminium

Our extrusions are manufactured from recycled metal — a fraction of the energy of primary aluminium.

03

BIS Certified

Guaranteed compliance with national standards, with ISO certification for this facility in progress.

04

Flexible Customisation

Chemistry, length, finish and section designed around your specific project needs.

05

Reliable Delivery

Integrated billet casting and extrusion under one roof, so lead times are planned, not hoped for.

Quality

PRECISION IS NOT
INSPECTED IN.
IT IS BUILT IN.

Consistency in aluminium extrusion depends on control throughout the manufacturing process. From billet preparation and extrusion parameters to dimensional verification and final inspection, Sunalco Alu Product focuses on establishing process discipline at every critical stage. Quality raw material, sorting expertise and heavy machinery come first — then spectrometer analysis, billet end cutting, ultrasonic crack detection, homogenisation and temperature-controlled processing engineer quality into the material before it is ever extruded.

Only within-tolerance material ships

Illustrative inspection line — every section must clear dimensional, ultrasonic, hardness and surface gates. Material outside tolerance is rejected, not shipped.

Sustainability

ALUMINIUM.
DESIGNED TO KEEP MOVING.

Aluminium's ability to be recycled repeatedly makes it an important material for industries seeking greater material efficiency and circularity.

Sunalco's broader experience in aluminium recycling provides a unique perspective on responsible aluminium utilisation — connecting material recovery, alloy production and downstream manufacturing.

The Sunalco Ecosystem

BUILT ON ALUMINIUM
EXPERIENCE.

Sunalco Alu Product builds upon the aluminium knowledge developed within the broader Sunalco ecosystem. The group's experience across aluminium recycling, alloy manufacturing, raw-material management and industrial operations provides the foundation for a deeper understanding of aluminium — from material to finished profile.

This perspective allows us to approach extrusion not merely as a forming process, but as part of the complete aluminium value chain. Sunalco Alloys, established in 2005, operates in secondary aluminium alloy manufacturing — the material knowledge behind the profile.
